Safety and Survival at Sea -Training for Shore Based Personnel I
On June 30th, Novikontas Maritime College held a very practical seminar for crewing agencies “Safety and Survival at Sea - Training for Shore Based Personnel”. Representatives from Atlas Professionals, Crewplanet, Anglo-Eastern, Matrix, Baltic Transocean crewing companies had to get themselves wet, to truly understand, how safety at sea works.
During the seminar participants used Fast Rescue Boat, learned how to use immersion suit and life-jacket and how to swim in it properly, did safely jump from a height into the water and also tried to turn over a Capsized life raft.
These kind of practical seminars are extremely necessary not only for seafarers, but also for shore-based managers who work in the maritime industry, because crewing companies need to understand the importance and process of courses their clients are in need for, to provide them with best offers.
