International Conferences in St.Petersburg

Two conferences: International Practical-Research Conference “Maritime Education and Training: Trends and Challenges in the XXI Century” and International Conference “Professional Manpower Policy – Straight Way to Maritime safety” took place in St. Petersburg on 7-8 July 2015. Director Aleksandr Chropenko, Deputy Director Dmitrijs Semjonovs, T&QA Manager Aleksejs Bogdanecs and Head of Study Department Anton Voytkevich represented Novikontas Maritime College at conferences.

Two subjects have been presented during those conferences:

  1. “Researching Future of Maritime Education and Training Practices” based on research done by “Novikontas Research”;
  2. “Closed Loop of Education: Workbased Learning” was related to educational approaches in Novikontas Maritime College.

Thanks to the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, as well as Russian Maritime Register of Shipping for the arrangement and invitation”, – said Dmitrijs Semjonovs.
